Have you ever wondered about the incredible work beind all of your devices' screens? Each app you open, and each button you push; UX designers are the brains (and creativity) behind that operation! Join Designer Wire as we guide you through the world that is User Experience Design!
User experience is one of the most crucial elements of the technology we use every day, from your cell phone or smartphone, to your tablet, your computer, or your television; it’s everywhere. Without it, technology would be in a state of bare-bones and the average user would be unable or unwilling to use it! User experience design is the process of creating a usable experience for the user of any device by framing the systems around usefulness and how much the user wants to be using the system. This design involves the elements of traditional human-computer interaction (also known as HCI) design while additionally expanding on it. In doing so, UX Designers ensure that they utilize the user's perspectives/perceptions of all aspects of the product or system they are creating (Wikipedia 2021). User experience design also has a focus on objectives for the group of designers and other assets to the project, as well as whatever business goals are related to said project. Likely the most valuable practices for a UX designer are continuously improving the quality of the experience for the user of the product or site and ensuring that the user’s perceptions of the content, and the usability of it, are put at the forefront of the design process.3
